Luger is one of the leading booking agencies and concert/festival organizers in the Nordic region. We arrange concerts and festivals featuring both Swedish and international acts in Sweden and the Nordic countries. Additionally, we serve as a booking agency for a fantastic group of Swedish and international artists, whom we proudly represent in Sweden and around the world. Among the festivals we organize are Way Out West, Åre Sessions, and Lollapalooza Stockholm (in collaboration with Live Nation).
IT ALL STARTED IN 1991
Luger was founded in Sandviken in 1991, but since 1998, our base has been in Stockholm. Since our inception, our focus has been to promote and follow up on new and exciting music that we are passionate about.
OUR ENVIRONMENTAL WORK
Sustainability issues and minimizing our own ecological footprint have been important for Luger since the beginning (with Way Out West being the platform where this work is most explicitly expressed).
Apart from choosing to be a city festival from the start, reducing transportation with the proximity between the festival area and suppliers, and the absence of camping to reduce emissions, Way Out West has been completely meat-free since 2012 and largely milk-free since 2015.
Ecological sustainability – Earth produces a certain amount of raw materials every day. Way Out West should never consume more than that amount. The ecological footprint (consumption of electricity, travel emissions, recycling, the festival area, etc.) should decrease every year.
Economic sustainability – Luger, as the organization behind Way Out West, takes responsibility for ensuring the festival’s long-term economic sustainability for both the festival and end consumers. This is to make the business viable, allow as many people as possible to attend the festival, and keep Way Out West alive for a long time.
Social sustainability – Considering all stakeholders in every aspect of the festival. Taking into account the well-being of employees, visitors, suppliers, partners, and artists in and around Way Out West, as well as considering the city of Gothenburg and its residents, all of whom are affected by the festival’s presence in various ways.
